The Church’s ministry to the sick (and those in distress) is based on Jesus’ constant concern and care for those in need. It is reinforced by the Epistle of James’ admonition to call on elders of the Church to pray over those who are sick (or in distress) and to anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.
At All Saints Anglican Church King City, licensed Lay Anointers invite those who attend our 10:30 am Sunday Service to come forward to a quiet corner of the church if they wish to be anointed with blessed oil and prayed over. This is done in parallel to our Eucharist.
This ministry is much appreciated by parishioners young and old, and can help those who are experiencing a variety of physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional issues. All Saints currently has three licensed Lay Anointers, with a fourth who is in training.
All Saints welcomes newcomers to attend our 10:30am sung Eucharist, and encourages everyone to take advantage of offered prayers and our anointing ministry.
