We are excited to share the good news that All Saints is sponsoring a new refugee family this year. We are listed as a “Parish of Record,” and will work alongside King for Refugees, a local non-profit group that All Saints has worked with before, and the Diocesan group AURA (Anglican United Refugee Association) who are both responsible for the administration, funding and distribution of sponsorship funds.
The family arrived in King on Tuesday Nov 27. We hope to create opportunities for our parish to meet and engage with this family over the coming months. There are 6 members in this extended family, ranging in age from 8 to 50. Although arriving from Ghana, they are citizens of Liberia. Please keep this family in your prayers as they prepare to make the long journey to a new country
Donations needed – The family is living in a house on Keele Street, here in King City. If you would like to make any donations, please email king4refugees@gmail.com. Let’s help them to feel at home in our community!
